Adult ADD: do supplements help? which ones?

I suspect that I have ADD and one psychiatrist actually confirmed this, but I am very very hesitant to go on ritalin. For a start, I would like to try and improve my condition the natural way. Can you list supplements that can help? Any tips in general to deal with the problem (could be organizational tips or anything what worked for you)?

In case it matters: I am 22 female, very healthy otherwise and quite health conscious, graduate student in electrical engineering (which is the worst place to have ADD).

You could start with several different vitamins that may help you.

*Vitamin D (2000 iu to 5000 iu)
*Amino Acid L-Tyrosine (1000mg to start) Take on empty stomach
*Vitamin C (2000 mg or more)
*Vitamin B (A good complex that includes all the necessary ones. Country life makes one called Cellular Active B-Complex Capsules)
*Vitamin B3 (Niacin or niacinamide. It can cause flushing at higher levels so you might start at 100mg and work your way up)
*Magnesium (500mg) Comes in many different forms. Effective supplements include Magnesium Citrate, Mag. Malate, Mag. taurate Even Epson Salts are good.
*Iodine 200 mcg
