I need psychology or smart advise…?
I have a very good friend of mine who he hit his head a lot times and he have some Adult ADHD (attention deficit Hyperactivity disorder), chemical unbalance, selecting short memory, etc. He was a model/athlete, he is very talented and smart but he is straggling with consistency with anything, jobs, school…etc. Now he is 40 years old and he have a very uncertain future because his disability and now he loosing self teen and desire to live. What is the best advice I can give to him? Is any treatment/center/website or any can help for people with this kind of disability? It’s very sad, he is my best friend and I am very concerning.
I assume English is not your native language?
It is VERY sweet that you are concerned about your friend. He’s lucky to have someone who cares for him. Has he ever seen any professionals about his problems? Perhaps you could find a counselor in your area that he could talk to. Express your concern and tell him that you would like to get help for him. Offer to be there for him if he wants. If he is not ready to accept help, then the best you can do is just reassure him that you will be there if he needs anything. Strong friends are the greatest therapy anyone can get.
