question about Ritalin and ADHD?
Please answer this yes or no- only if you are SURE of the answer. If you have resources that is appreciated. If not thats okay too:
If you were to treat a young child with ritalin, could you eventually “cure” them of there ADHD? And if you treat them VERY young- can you “cure” them faster than if you waited to give it to them?
This is for a debate in psychology. I cant find any evidence to support her claim but I thought i would give it one last try.
The reason
Ritalin just treats the symptoms, not cures the disease. It is used to help children function. If a child’s ADHD seems to have decreased as they age, it does not have to do with the meds.
