BEAT ADULT DYSLEXIA
TOOLS FOR THE DYSLEXIC: LEARNING TO NAVIGATE THROUGH A NON-DYSLEXIC WORLD WHEN YOU VIEW THE WORLD COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY
While it is still a problem for me to manage, I want you to understand this is something you can manage too with a little time, and thorough understanding of yourself. This is a sad truth of our educational system as many teachers will not work harder to help all of their students.Personally, I believe teachers will sometimes overlook dyslexia because it takes more energy out of their class schedules to help a student learn. In addition, teachers have to ?revamp? their classroom routine to help dyslexic students and when they have a “schedule” to keep, they are anything but interested and motivated to help students learn. From understanding driving directions, to speaking and writing, the dyslexic mind will distort information making it almost impossible to understand or will show a non-dyslexic person an interesting perspective on how to look at a given problem. While dyslexia torments and greatly frustrates the people that suffer with it, employers and those that live with the dyslexic are equally frustrated because of the way the dyslexic mind flip flops much of the information the dyslexic comes in contact with.As a biology major in college writing out DNA sequences, I regularly flipped the amino acids for others not only getting it completely incorrect, but it made my professors wonder how I could possibly continue with a degree in biology.I also attended a non-traditional school for my graduate degree: an online university that was perfectly fine with granting me extensions to finish courses and wanted students to e-mail or call professors taking as much time as they needed to argue any problem.

I think my child has ADHD?
My Daughter goes to preschool every day but recently her teacher has being telling me that her attention spam has become very bad and she has trouble following instructions, she also gets distracted easily and will not take part in group activities. I have noticed at home that she has trouble listening to me or her father talking to her because she finds it hard to focus on anything for long periods of time. On the other hand she is very smart, is very good with number’s and can speak very clearly, i’ve also noticed that she has a very active Imagination, she has imaginary friends and she sometimes speaks to them when we’re in a public place’s. I’m really worried about her, or is it just a phase?
