Fighting Adhd - Lots Of Treatment Options To Help Your Child
There are now several ways of fighting ADHD. The only problem is that not everybody is in agreement about them! This is particularly true about fringe treatments such as equine therapy, biofeedback, meditation, yoga and dietary supplements.
As regards mainstream treatments in curing ADHD, there is more or less general agreement. In recent years, more and more paediatricians are now recommending some sort of behavior therapy combined with some sort of medication as the best way forward. That is great progress.

Latest research is also pointing to the fact that the initial age of diagnosis should be raised to 7, as lots of children start displaying ADHD symptoms around then. Certainly, three or four year olds are too young to be labelled with such a challenge at such a tender age.
Why? First because the effects of these amphetamine drugs on young child’s brain is extremely controversial and there are concerns voiced by the FDA, the CDC and other medical authorities.
It is no accident that these drugs are still classed as Class II drugs with all the risks of addiction that could bring. In addition there are health risks as outlined on the FDA site. Last but not least, there are worries about the long term effects which has never been really addressed in fighting ADHD.
Fortunately, thanks to the Internet, parents are becoming much more savvy and are beginning to be more aware of the problems and challenges faced by their ADHD children.
Certainly homeopathic remedies for ADHD have gained enormous respect compared to about twenty years ago.
