Why can’t I attract people to my IRC channel?
I want to build a reasonable sized community of people with ADHD, but nobody will go on my channel (#adhdchat on Freenode). What can I do to make it more popular?
Colanth: Yeah, I tried addforums.com but they said I wasn’t allowed to. Stupid, I know.
For one thing, people might not know about it. Mention it in ADHD forums and see if people running ADHD web sites will mention it on their sites.
Other than that there’s not much you can do - it can take months - or even years - for a channel to become popular.
