What is an alternative for Lamictal?
If I’m allergic to Lamictal, what is an alternative medication. It’s to counteract “mood swings”/ stress that goes along with taking amphetemines for ADHD(??) It’s not being taken for seizures or bipolar disorder, so I’m not sure if that matters. Any ideas? Thanks
Wow, I was using it for the exact same thing! I just had a lot of unpleasant side effect, like my hair thinning and forgetfulness 
I don’t know what amphetamine you are on, but I was using Adderall. What my doctor did was slowly get me off both and put me solely on Wellbutrin. It helps sooo much, while being more mild and “buffered” Rather than up-down-up-down.
Everybody’s system work differently, but for me I can hold my thoughts together, not fly off the handle at anyone, and just have good days altogether.
Just my experience, maybe you can mention it to your doctor.
