Why is fluoride added to drinking water when the negative effects far outweigh the positive?
Why not put multi vitamins in the water?
The politics and huge money “gifts” to our elected leaders makes sure that fluoride gets a positive spin. Organized dentistry, subsidized by corporations who benefit from fluoridated dental products, constantly get laws passed that benefit themselves and not you or me. They are the biggest advertisers too which helps slant the news in favor of fluoride.
Fluoridation does not hurt dentistry’s bottom line and it keeps their money suppliers happy. The money is used to sway legislators into continuing to keep dentistry’s lucrative monopoly while refusing to allow other viable groups from filling the oral health disparity that’s so prevalent in the US that people are dying from the consequences of UNtreated tooth decay - but dentists get richer every year, while working less hours and less days doing less critical work on people with deep pockets or good insurance.
No fluoridation does not hurt dentists’ bottom line. That’s why they support it. Fluoridation also gives the illusion that organized dentistry cares about the poor people they will not allow in their dental chairs.
