I need information about ADD/ADHD?
I have a health and wellness blog and I want to write a post about ADD/ADHD. I can’t seem to find the information I need. Maybe I’m not looking in the right place. I’m looking for information about how many children are diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, alternative treatments (I think I read somewhere that fish oil is good for treating ADD/ADHD), also information about why children are being misdiagnosed with ADD/ADHD
I totally agree with you LindaD. I’m going to include in my blog post that I think that ADD/ADHD is misdiagnosed and sometimes teachers just don’t want to deal with a certain child in the classroom.
Try the “Born to Explore” website. They have a list of articles about alternative treatments and they also answer questions regarding what is (and what isn’t) ADD/ADHD.
Edit: It’s upsetting to read people saying that it’s not real. I’ve struggled with it all my life. I don’t think of it as a disease though, just a different way of processing information and different brain chemistry. It’s made me able to think “outside the box” and people admire me for my creativity. And for those of you that think it’s BS: Why are brain scans (MRIs) different for people with ADD?
